- Optionally type your birth place (e.g., "New York, USA") – not required for calculation.
- Click "Calculate Nodes".
- View results: North Node (green card) and South Node (yellow card) show zodiac sign and degrees.

Frequently Asked Questions
The North Node (Rahu) is the point where the Moon crosses the ecliptic from south to north, representing your karmic direction and life lessons. The South Node (Ketu) is exactly opposite and represents past-life talents and comfort zones you should release.
The lunar nodes move about 0.05 degrees per day backwards through the zodiac. Accurate birth time and timezone ensure the Julian Day Number is computed correctly, which is essential for precise node positions.
This calculator uses the standard mean longitude formula for the Moon's ascending node, which is accurate to within about 1 degree over a century. For true (osculating) node positions, an ephemeris is recommended.
You can leave the default 12:00 noon. The nodes move slowly (about 18.6 years per full cycle), so a few hours of uncertainty usually changes the result by less than a degree.
The zodiac sign of your North Node indicates the qualities, challenges, and growth areas you are meant to develop in this lifetime according to astrological tradition.
