How to use this tool?
This calculator determines the GPA you need in your remaining courses to reach your target overall GPA.
- Enter Total Credits Required – The total number of credits needed for graduation (e.g., 120).
- Enter Credits Earned – The number of credits you have already completed.
- Enter Current GPA – Your current cumulative GPA (0.0–4.0).
- Enter Target GPA – The GPA you aim to achieve by graduation (0.0–4.0).
- Enter Current Total Grade Points – The sum of all grade points earned so far (e.g., current GPA × earned credits).
- Click Calculate.
Results:
- Remaining Credits – Credits left to complete.
- Required GPA in Remaining – The minimum GPA needed in future courses to hit your target. If it exceeds 4.0, the goal is not achievable.
Note: All inputs must be non-negative. Earned credits cannot exceed total credits. GPA values must be between 0.0 and 4.0.
