Middle school GPA is calculated by converting each course grade to a grade point on a 4.0 scale, then averaging those points. For letter grades: A=4.0, A-=3.7, B+=3.3, B=3.0, B-=2.7, C+=2.3, C=2.0, C-=1.7, D+=1.3, D=1.0, F=0.0. For percentages, we use a standard conversion table.
A GPA of 3.0 or higher (B average) is generally considered good in middle school. Many honor societies require a 3.5 or higher.
This calculator assumes each course has equal weight (1 credit). If your school uses weighted credits, you may need a more advanced calculator.
