How to Use the College Chance Calculator
This tool estimates your admission chances based on key academic and application factors. Follow these steps:
- Enter your GPA (0.0–4.0 scale). Use a decimal if needed (e.g., 3.5).
- Enter your SAT score (400–1600). Use the total score.
- Rate your extracurriculars (0–10). 0 = none, 10 = exceptional.
- Rate your essays quality (1–5). 1 = poor, 5 = outstanding.
- Rate your recommendation strength (1–5). 1 = weak, 5 = strong.
- Select the college selectivity tier from the dropdown (Ivy League to Other).
- Click “Calculate Chance” to see your estimated admission percentage and a breakdown of inputs.
Note: All fields are required. Invalid entries (e.g., GPA above 4.0) will show an error. The result is an estimate only and does not guarantee admission.

The calculator combines weighted scores from GPA, SAT, extracurriculars, essays, and recommendations, then applies a selectivity tier multiplier to estimate your chance.

Currently, this calculator only supports SAT scores. You can convert your ACT to an equivalent SAT score using conversion tables.
