How to Use the BTZ Calculator
This calculator computes the BitTorrent Zone (BTZ) score to evaluate swarm health. Follow these steps:
- Enter Seeders – Number of seeders (users with complete files). Must be 0 or greater.
- Enter Leechers – Number of leechers (users downloading). Must be greater than 0.
- Enter Total Peers – Combined seeders + leechers. Must be 0 or greater.
- Enter Average Download Speed – In KB/s (kilobytes per second). Use decimal if needed.
- Click "Calculate BTZ" – The score and interpretation appear below.
Interpretation:
- ≥ 100 – Excellent swarm health
- 50–99 – Good swarm health
- 20–49 – Fair swarm health
- < 20 – Poor swarm health
Note: All inputs must be non-negative. Leechers cannot be zero. Speed is in KB/s (not Kbps).

Frequently Asked Questions
BTZ stands for BitTorrent Zone, a metric that combines seeders, leechers, total peers, and average download speed to assess the health of a torrent swarm.
BTZ = (Seeders / Leechers) * (Total Peers / 100) * (Average Speed / 100). A higher score indicates better swarm health.
A BTZ score of 100 or above indicates excellent swarm health with high availability and speed.
