How to Use the Auto Lease Calculator

Follow these steps to calculate your monthly lease payment:

  1. Enter Vehicle Price ($) – The total price of the car (e.g., 35000).
  2. Enter Down Payment ($) – Any upfront cash you pay (e.g., 3000). Use 0 if none.
  3. Enter Residual Value (%) – The car's expected value at lease end as a percentage (e.g., 55 for 55%). Must be between 0 and 100.
  4. Enter Money Factor – The interest rate in decimal form (e.g., 0.00125). This is not a percentage.
  5. Enter Lease Term (months) – How long the lease lasts (e.g., 36). Must be between 1 and 120.
  6. Click "Calculate Lease" – Your monthly payment will appear. The breakdown shows the depreciation fee and finance fee used in the calculation.

Note: All monetary inputs must be positive numbers. The calculator uses standard lease formulas: Depreciation = (Net Cost – Residual) / Term, Finance = (Net Cost + Residual) × Money Factor.
