How is this calculated?

The percentile is estimated using a simplified LMS (lambda-mu-sigma) method based on CDC growth chart parameters. The Z-score is computed as ((height/M)^L - 1)/(L*S) for L≠0, or ln(height/M)/S for L=0. Then percentile = Φ(Z) * 100, where Φ is the cumulative normal distribution.
