Blood type is inherited from parents. The ABO gene has three alleles: A, B, and O. A and B are co-dominant, O is recessive. Rh factor is inherited separately: positive (Rh+) is dominant over negative (Rh-). The calculator considers all possible genotype combinations to list possible blood types.
